Community

The Jacobs Neurological Institute supports the community by providing compassionate care and education to many people in the Western New York area and beyond. Each year, the JNI's programs and services touch the lives of many people. For example, approximately 22,000 people are seen each year at the JNI. Through its affiliation with the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, the JNI teaches hundreds of medical students about neurology and how to provide compassionate care. The JNI's public programs teach countless people about important health issues such as heart disease and stroke and the patient and family programs teach people how to live well with their neurological disease. The JNI also works closely with other community organizations to improve information about and care of people with neurological disease.
